Terror is a tactic. FDR didn't declare war on "Blitzkrieg" he declared war on the Nazis and proceeded to kick their ass.
Sometimes I wonder if we should reconsider our foundation principle of freedom of religon. In the seventeenth century, Europe was slugging it out with the Ottoman Turks and with eachother. John Calvin considered the Pope and the Ottoman Turk to be the twin horns of the anti-Christ. Protestants fought the forces of the Counter Reformation to a stalemate. Rome had to allow Protestantism to exist.
The American colonies were established to allow Protestants the freedom to practice their faith. In order to do this, they had to allow others to practice theirs. It went along fine, as Protestants and Catholics made peace. But now, anything goes.
Islam is on a worldwide push of dominance. To convert the world by force. By allowing more muslims to settle here, we can look forward to waves of beligerence, crime, honor killings and hair trigger riots we've seen in France.
Multi-coltureism is not a two way street. We have to get over being called racist when we profile. We need to face the fact, we are in a religous war.
